Are you a driven and engaged teacher who wants to be part of launching a new operation? Then perhaps we are looking for you! This autumn, Mellringeskolan will launch our resource school for grades F-6. Come and enrich our team with your commitment and competence!
About the position
As a teacher at the resource school, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching for the students. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure that all students are met with inspiring teaching. At the resource school, students with a need for lasting and extensive special support in the areas of language, communication, and social interaction attend classes. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on adapting teaching to individual prerequisites. Since the operation is new, you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop the work together with your colleagues.
The group at the resource school for grades F-6 consists of approximately 12 students of different ages. The position includes mentorship for half of the group, which entails responsibility for development conferences and regular contact with the home. You will be part of a team consisting of a teaching colleague, student assistants, and a student coordinator. You will also participate in working groups with staff from the school's existing resource school for grades 7-9. In the role, you will have close collaboration and supervision from a resource team, consisting among others of a school psychologist.
Examples of tasks:
- Use methods and working approaches that lead to the best possible goal achievement.
- Create a good environment for learning.
- Support students' social development and upbringing.
- Plan and participate in schedule-breaking activities with the students.
- Actively participate in various conferences regarding the students.
- Keep up to date with current research within your area of operation.
About the workplace
Since January 2025, Mellringeskolan has been a F-9 school with approximately 500 students and 80 employees. The majority of students state in the school's safety survey that they enjoy being at the school, and we adults assume that students want to succeed. The school has a student health team consisting of a counselor, special educator, special teacher, and school leaders. The group meets once a week to follow up on work regarding the students. Students also meet the school's student coordinators who create safety in the corridors and during breaks. Mellringeskolan is a school with confidence in the future, where in the recently completed merger, we are creating forms of collaboration that will secure the student's entire school journey from preschool class to grade 9 – and you are part of making a difference.
