About the position
We are currently seeking a leisure center teacher who will play a central role within the school's leisure center. You will be part of a work team for our leisure center and have significant responsibility for driving the pedagogical work forward. We work from a student-centered approach, which gives students increased influence in the teaching. The work team meeting is your most important time of the week, as much of the joint planning and systematic quality work takes place there. In addition to these meetings, we hold weekly pedagogical conferences where internal competence development takes place through our lead teachers.
Examples of tasks:
- Plan, implement, and develop the leisure center activities together with other staff, in accordance with existing governing documents
- Support students' social development and upbringing
- Participate and identify opportunities to develop the pedagogical work within the school's operations
About the workplace
Stora Mellösa School is a preschool class to grade 6 school with approximately 200 students. The school is beautifully located a few miles east of Örebro. We are organized into four work teams: the leisure center, grades F-3, grades 4-6, and the specteam. The operations are characterized by our profile "Health and Learning in Interaction" and our value base. Together, we strive for a broad health perspective where the importance of both mental and physical health is emphasized. We place great importance on value-based work to create a safe school with a good learning environment for our students. Stora Mellösa School is an intrapreneurship model, which means greater freedom and greater responsibility. The school has been recognized for its quality work regarding students. We are also a training school where we collaborate with the teacher education program at Örebro University and regularly host students during their practicum (VFU).

Qualifications
As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate, and contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You should also have knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the competence and ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and prerequisites. You communicate clearly, ensure that messages reach their audience, and remind and follow up. You create engagement and participation and can lead and motivate student groups. You can also create and maintain relationships. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changed circumstances, can quickly change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in changes.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in leisure centers, or alternatively, a degree that qualifies for certification
Merits:
