About the position
We are looking for a substitute teacher for Physical Education and Health. The substitute position is scheduled for the autumn term of 2026.
We are looking for you who enjoy working with young people and are driven by helping them grow and develop. You will be part of a team with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues who collaborate to create a safe and developmental environment. There is great openness among teachers, and we share a common responsibility for ensuring all students succeed.
Our schools work with learning and development within common focus areas. These areas fall under the three headings of pedagogy, health, and civic engagement. We develop what, according to science and proven experience, has a positive impact on the learning situation, on the work for the health of students, and for our students to be able to go out into the world with strong civic engagement.
Our schools have a strong anchoring in value-based issues for societal improvement and the equal value of all. Therefore, it is important to us that you share our values. The assignment includes tasks related to the teaching role such as teaching, planning, and assessment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher and eligible to teach one or more of the subjects mentioned in the advertisement. The extent of employment and subjects can possibly be adjusted to suit you depending on your competence and other applicants.
In addition to your subject competence, we value your engagement, your pedagogical competence, and your ability to inspire and engage students. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, as well as your ability to build good relationships. If you have knowledge of our working methods, it is an advantage. Experience from similar assignments and good references are also meritorious.
You are curious and work actively to ensure that every student develops as far as possible based on their prerequisites. It is important to us that you are motivated by challenging yourself, your colleagues, and students to contribute to your own as well as the school's and students' development.

The City Mission School Foundation is a non-profit principal that runs Grillska Gymnasium. With seven upper secondary schools in the Mälaren Valley and approximately 3,000 students, we equip young people with knowledge, security, care, and courage – for the future and for society.
Being non-profit means primarily that we are not driven by any other interests than our vision – a school for a more humane society. The schools are independent schools run in foundation form, which means there is no owner who takes out profit. Any surplus goes to the development of the operations.
The foundation founder, Stockholm City Mission, has run education since 1857, and we share the same fundamental, humane view of humanity and values.
Through education, we can prevent exclusion and strengthen the individual's belief in themselves and their own abilities, and work towards our vision of a school for a more humane society.
