Teacher in Home Economics and Consumer Education at Vittra Kungshagen in Nyköping
Your Role
We are currently offering a 50% position, spread over three days, for teaching in Home Economics and Consumer Education. You will be responsible for teaching home economics in grades 6 and 9. As a teacher at Vittra, you help shape conscious children and students by providing them with the right tools and knowledge to create a more sustainable society.
Your Profile
We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher in Home Economics and Consumer Education. You are motivated and engaged, as well as responsible, humble, and creative. This role requires you to be structured, driven, and to possess strong leadership qualities. At the same time, you must be humble towards our students, always consider the best interests of the students and their individual prerequisites, and be able to guide them appropriately. You thrive in an environment characterized by courage and conscious learning – that is how we make a difference.
What We Offer
Together, we work with collegial learning to develop teaching and meet the individual needs of children. Vittra has a clear pedagogical direction and various tools and methods that support our work. We build a safe and challenging environment where everyone, both children and adults, can develop and grow.
All children and students at Vittra have a "Vittra Book" aimed at creating awareness of their own learning process.
At Vittra, we strive for teaching that contributes to a perspective on the surrounding world and is rooted in society. This can be achieved, for example, through value-creating learning. Here, we use what we learn to create value for others (e.g., helping, teaching, facilitating), both inside and outside of school. This deepens the understanding of what we learn. We also work cross-curricularly, meaning we create connections between activities and subjects. We want our children and students to gain a good understanding of how different subjects are interconnected and how they relate to our surrounding world.
As a school within AcadeMedia, we offer our employees continuous competence development through AcadeMedia Academy, as well as internal and external professional development. Naturally, you will receive collective agreement benefits and insurance, as well as a wellness allowance, pension counseling, and the opportunity to make advantageous purchases through net and gross salary exchange.
Other Information
The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months (provided you meet the eligibility requirements of the Education Act). Start date: August 11, 2026.
