About the School

The Electrical Engineering Industry Gymnasium in Nyköping (ETG) is an independent upper secondary school with national intake, owned by Installatörsföretagen (IN). ETG has three year groups with a maximum of 30 students per class, where all students study the Electricity & Energy Programme with a focus on Electrical Engineering. The education is university-preparatory and takes place in functional and fresh premises. The vocational outcomes from the school are installation, industry, communication, and security. Together with the industry, in close collaboration with companies, the school has developed a unique education. Students can, through the opportunity for vocational certification, enter the job market directly. The Electrical Engineering Industry Gymnasium can proudly say that most of the school's students get jobs after their education. The Electrical Engineering Industry Gymnasium maintains high quality, has high application pressure, and places great value on the well-being of students and staff.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach vocational students in Swedish, as well as History and/or Religious Studies at the upper secondary level in a university-preparatory education. In addition to teaching, you will also plan, assess, grade, and be proactive in developing subject-specific teaching. Mentorship for 15 students is included in the position.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are either a qualified and certified subject teacher with eligibility in Swedish, History, and/or Religious Studies, or whose teacher studies are ongoing and will be completed soon. Alternatively, you have other relevant education and experience. As a teacher at ETG, you will be involved in the education of all 90 students at the school at some point during their three years at ETG. You will be part of a tightly knit teaching staff where everyone helps each other and works in an integrated subject manner, while you are responsible for driving subject development. Therefore, we are looking for you who are relational, collaborative, and structured. You should have good computer skills and the ability to learn new digital programs. Experience with the Office package and It's learning is meritorious.
