About the position
We are currently looking for you who are a certified teacher of Polish as a mother tongue. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching, as well as participating in the unit's joint development work. The teaching takes place primarily on-site at the schools, with Örebro as your workplace. In some cases, teaching is conducted remotely. The teaching is scheduled outside the students' regular timetable, usually in the afternoons.
At the Multilingualism Unit, you will be part of a multicultural team of approximately 40 teachers who work together to further develop mother tongue instruction for students. All teachers work jointly on operational development and collegial learning on Thursdays, where you, as an employee, participate.
The extent of the position may be adjusted depending on the number of students with the relevant mother tongue.
Examples of duties:
- teaching in mother tongue
- planning and implementing teaching according to the curriculum in the subject of mother tongue
- assessment of students against knowledge goals for the mother tongue subject
- working and documenting in our operational systems
- study guidance for students in various subjects in the mother tongue
About the workplace
The Multilingualism Unit belongs to the Administration for Preschool and School in Örebro Municipality and administers all mother tongue instruction for all primary and upper secondary schools within Örebro Municipality. The Multilingualism Unit's mission is to support the schools in offering mother tongue and study guidance.

Qualifications
As a person, you are secure and stable and take responsibility for your work. You are structured and have a desire and interest in helping the student reach their goals. You work well with other people, listen, and communicate in a receptive and smooth manner. You have a good understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and people's different prerequisites. Furthermore, you have a creative working method and come up with new ideas in work-related matters. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students and other staff, and can document in writing what the operations require in our systems.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Swedish teaching certification
- documented good knowledge of Swedish and Polish
- good computer skills
- experience working in primary school

Teaching certification with specified eligibility must be attached to the application, or alternatively, a degree certificate that qualifies for certification.
