Are you a student looking for a part-time job that provides valuable experience in customer service? In our client's reception, you will be welcomed into a group of competent colleagues and given the opportunity to take significant responsibility for internal administration, visitor experiences, and representing the company's brand.
About the role
We are looking for students who want to work part-time in our client's switchboard and reception. The switchboard is shared between another office and the headquarters in Rotebro. As a receptionist, you are the face of the company and the first person visitors meet or speak with on the phone. For this assignment, we are looking for someone who loves interacting with people and contributing to strong service experiences. The commitment is 1 day per week.
What we offer
- A rewarding part-time job where you gain valuable experience in service and administration.
- The opportunity to combine work with both calm and intensive study periods, thanks to a team of consultants who support each other in covering shifts.
Responsibilities
- Receive visitors in the reception and assist with check-ins in their digital visitor system.
- Handle emails and the switchboard, and refer or transfer calls internally to, for example, technical sales or order, invoice, and returns handling.
- Responsible for mail handling, both incoming and outgoing.
- Ensure that conference rooms and common areas look presentable.
- Arrange food orders and serve lunch and coffee to visitors.
- Take care of the kitchen and dishwasher when needed.
We are looking for you who
- Are studying at least 50% at a university or college with at least 1.5 years left until graduation, or have another main occupation.
- Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
- Have a service-oriented and professional attitude.
It is an advantage if you have
- Previous experience working in reception or customer service.
- Experience in service from, for example, retail or another service function.
- Experience in organizing and preparing for conferences.
To succeed in this role, you have the following personal qualities:
- Helpful
- Respectful
- Proactive
Other information:
- Start: Immediately
- Working hours: Office hours, with the possibility of working half or full days.
- You are needed during both planned leave and sudden sick leave, which requires flexibility to step in at short notice.
Our recruitment process
This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's preference is that all questions regarding the role are sent to Academic Work.
We apply rolling selection and will remove the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not required. As a candidate, you are primarily responsible for ensuring your application is complete when submitted. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
For our part-time positions, you as an applicant must have another main occupation of at least 50%. Examples of this include studies, another employment, self-employment, parental leave, or similar.
