We are currently looking for a social pedagogue to be placed within the principal's area at Åkraskolan. We offer you an exciting and responsible assignment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our students.

About the workplace

We are a multicultural school (grades F-6) in Sala with approximately 475 students and 65 staff members.

The school is newly built and located in central Sala, making it easy to commute by both car and public transport.

Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue at our school, you will work closely with both the school counselor and the school leadership. Your focus will be on the after-school care center (fritidshem). You will work with individual students as well as with values-based work in classes and groups. Your work is driven by the needs we identify in our students.

We focus on the development of our students, taking joint responsibility for all students' goal achievement. Our workplace is characterized by care, engagement, and a strong desire to develop through collaboration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social pedagogue.

It is important to us that you have a positive outlook on the assignment, good collaboration skills, and see the opportunities in working at a multicultural school. Working in a goal-oriented manner and having good structure in your work are important parts of the assignment. You strive to develop both yourself and the environment you work in, together with your work team and other staff. You work consciously to ensure that all students feel included, safe, and able to achieve set goals. We look for someone with a solution- and result-oriented approach, as well as good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience from working in school grades F-6 is preferred.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Terms of Employment

Permanent position, full-time (100%).

Start date according to agreement.

Individual salary setting.

Probationary employment may be applied.

A certificate of good conduct is required upon offer of employment, in accordance with the Act on Register Checks in School, After-School, and Preschool Activities (Swedish National Police Board's criminal record register, RPS 442.5).
