Teacher for After-School Center at Hammargärdet

Hammargärdet is an F-6 school with approximately 100 students and 20 dedicated employees. The school is located 30 km outside of Eskilstuna with good bus connections. We are surrounded by a unique environment with proximity to fantastic nature, which contributes to closeness and security for the students. You will become part of our experienced and stable work group, characterized by community and collegial learning. We have a collaboration with Gillberga School as we are part of the same principal's area.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher at the after-school center, you are responsible for planning and implementing activities at our after-school program for students in preschool class up to grade three, as well as in our open activities for the older students. We are currently working on an after-school center initiative to strengthen cooperation between the school and the after-school program. This means that you will have close collaboration with the school's other teachers to create a red thread through the students' school days. There are great opportunities for you who like development to be involved in influencing the pedagogical planning and the continued development of the after-school center.

To ensure that students learn in all situations, both during lesson time and through after-school activities, you are responsible, together with colleagues, for planning activities based on the curriculum. You create good relationships with students and guardians. We would like you to have an interest in movement and an engagement in recess activities. Our location near forest and nature makes it easy for us to have outdoor activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a pedagogical degree and teacher certification, which gives you the eligibility to work as a teacher at the after-school center. You may also have a continuing education that will be completed shortly. If you have experience working according to the current curriculum (Lgr22), it is meritorious.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that you are a leader who can adapt your leadership to the situation and can plan and follow up on your work. As a person, you are sensitive, have good collaboration skills, and can see the whole picture in the student's school situation. You communicate easily with both adults and students. We believe that you want to develop in your role as a teacher and contribute to the school's continued development. You are a dedicated employee who can build trust and listen to different needs.
