Vocational Teacher for Restaurant and Food Program

Rinmangymnasiet is located centrally in Eskilstuna and has approximately 930 students. The school offers education in natural sciences, technology, and service. It also includes a special needs high school and resource units for the high school.

Job Responsibilities

As a subject teacher for the Restaurant and Food Program (RL), you teach core subjects with a focus on serving and service. Part of the teaching takes place in the evenings.

You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and subject plans. You work closely with both students and colleagues, and mentoring is included in the role.

The work team consists of 10 people, including 6 subject teachers. Together, you collaborate closely regarding student development and learning.

You plan and follow up on students' work-based learning (APL) together with supervisors at workplaces. You are responsible for linking practical learning to the program's subject goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience in restaurant operations, primarily within serving and service. You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach.

You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have good IT skills and feel confident using digital tools in your work.

It is meritorious if you have experience teaching according to the high school curriculum. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with young people.

Your personal qualities are important to us. You are a secure and engaged adult who enjoys building good relationships with young people. You believe in the students' abilities and help them develop. You are structured and can independently plan and follow up on your work.
