About the role

The mandate of the Technical Hearing Care Unit is to provide service and repairs for hearing aids and to install hearing aids in home and school environments. The unit is also responsible for maintaining and ensuring that the hearing technology measurement equipment at the hearing centers functions correctly. The unit collaborates closely with the Hearing Centers as well as Hearing Rehabilitation and Hearing Habilitation. The unit's team also includes hearing technicians and an IT engineer. We are looking for a Hearing Engineer to join us!

In the role of Hearing Engineer, the primary responsibility is to oversee the hearing technology measurement equipment and associated software at the hearing centers, including calibration and service. The role involves traveling to the Region's Hearing Centers in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå as required by the operations. We offer flexible working hours.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Location: Härnösand or Sundsvall, to be agreed upon with the manager.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the hearing technology measurement equipment and associated software at the hearing centers, including calibration and service.
• Support and troubleshoot staff issues related to measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with the Hearing Care IT Engineer regarding the business system AuditBase.
• Collaborate with the unit manager on quality development within the field.
• Assist hearing technicians with the service of hearing aid installations in homes.
• Collaborate with the unit manager in the procurement of hearing aids and measurement equipment.
• Share responsibility for assistive device orders and inventory management.
• Act as the contact person for suppliers.
• Participate in the hearing care assistive device group.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has a vocational upper secondary education in engineering or equivalent work experience as assessed by the organization.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Has a valid B-driver's license.

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience working with common measurement equipment within hearing care, including calibration.
• Have work experience as a hearing technician.
• Have work experience and knowledge of the business system AuditBase.
• Have experience working with hearing implants.
• Have work experience in audiology, technical audiology, and signal processing.
• Have experience working in the medical record system Cosmic.
