Do you want to work in a role where you combine technology, leadership, and long-term operation of advanced marine systems? We are now recruiting an ILS Manager for Saab-Dockstavarvet.

About the role

As an ILS Manager, you work as a sub-project manager within Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for marine systems. ILS is about ensuring that ships, boats, and marine systems can be operated, maintained, and function over time. This includes, among other things, developing maintenance concepts, spare parts, technical documentation, training, and training equipment for the customer.

The work takes place throughout the entire lifecycle – before construction, during production, and after delivery and commissioning. You are responsible for leading and developing ILS work in projects and ensuring that requirements, quality, and deliveries are met in a complex marine environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, and execute ILS-related parts in marine projects
  • Work with time estimation, resource planning, and tracking of project budgets
  • Identify risks, develop action plans, and ensure structured handling
  • Ensure that the work follows relevant regulations, standards, and marine requirements
  • Engage and motivate the team to achieve timely deliveries with the right quality

ILS covers areas such as ILS Management, Reliability & Maintainability/Logistic Support Analysis, Training & Training Equipment, item information, spare parts catalogs, and technical publications.

You report to the Engineering Manager in the line organization as well as to the project manager in the current project.

Your profile

We are looking for you with a technical background and experience in leading work in complex environments. You are structured, responsible, and thrive in a role where you need to drive work forward, make decisions, and handle changed conditions. You collaborate well with others, work methodically, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize. You are confident in communicating technical content and leading both work and people.

We would like you to have several years of professional experience in:

  • ILS, logistics, or maintenance
  • Project management

Meritorious

  • Experience from the marine, shipping, or defense industry
  • Experience from ship projects (new production or modification)
  • Knowledge of classification societies (DNV, Lloyd’s, Bureau Veritas, etc.)
  • Experience with military marine systems

To be successful in this role, you likely have an engineering degree in areas such as mechanical, main, systems, or logistics. You should have professional experience in similar tasks. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work in a technologically advanced operation where your work contributes to long-term functionality and operational capability in marine systems. There are good opportunities to develop in a role with great responsibility and a broad network. A requirement is that you communicate fluently in Swedish and handle English well.
