Ready to drive the energy systems of the future?
Do you want to work in an international environment where research, technology, and practical implementation meet? Absolicon is now looking for a Development Engineer who wants to drive development and research projects within future energy systems.
About the role
As a Development Engineer, you will be involved in several of Absolicon's ongoing research and development projects within solar energy. When we sell solar thermal fields to industries and cities, we work together with engineering firms and subcontractors to deliver solar thermal solutions. In our EU projects, you will work alongside European researchers at various universities, representing Absolicon. A key part of the job is ensuring that project activities are planned, executed, and followed up.
At Absolicon, you will work in a large team where you, as an engineer, will have significant individual responsibility. Work at the office in Härnösand or remotely will be mixed with travel to installations and partners. The role is varied and combines project management, technical work, and practical implementation.
Your main responsibilities
- Drive Absolicon's research and development projects together with partners with the goal of changing the world's energy supply.
- Plan, monitor, and ensure that projects deliver according to set goals and schedules.
- Work with technical documentation and drawing management.
- Participate in testing and verification of solar energy systems.
- Contribute to internal development projects to reduce costs and improve the performance of solar thermal fields.
- Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of facilities as needed.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a technical education in areas such as energy, mechanical engineering, or a related field. You have an understanding of energy systems, thermodynamics, or industrial processes and are accustomed to working with technical documentation and drawings. You thrive in a changing environment where you are given significant responsibility, drive work forward, and step in where needed.
As a person, you are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and curious about taking on new challenges. The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, which requires good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate fluently in English. Experience in project management, development projects, or research collaborations is advantageous.
What does Absolicon offer?
At Absolicon, you will get a varied role in a technology-intensive company where you work closely with both research, development, and commercial projects. You will become part of a business where new ideas are turned into practical solutions and where you have the opportunity to influence and develop together with the company.
