Do you want to help develop advanced electrical systems for some of the world's most reputable special vessels? Dockstavarvet is now looking for an electrical designer who wants to become part of an experienced team where knowledge, development, and collaboration are in focus. Here you get the opportunity to work closely with both design and production in a company that is in an exciting expansion phase within the marine and defense industry.

About the role

In the role of electrical designer, you will become part of a friendly team responsible for the technical development and design of customer-specific vessels. The team takes over when an order is placed and translates customer requirements into finished design documentation used in production.

The work includes, among other things:

  • Design and development of electrical systems for special vessels
  • Creation of circuit diagrams and single-line diagrams
  • Documentation and work in CAD and PDM systems
  • Cable routing and system integration from a design perspective
  • Requirements management throughout the development process
  • Testing, verification, and quality assurance of solutions
  • Collaboration with production, mechanical designers, and other technical functions

As a new member of the role, you will receive support from a highly experienced team with strong technical competence. A large part of the initial period will be about understanding the products, the marine environment, and the specific requirements placed on electrical systems on board ships.

Requirements for the position

  • A university college (YH) education in electrical design, electrical engineering, or electronics
  • Fluent Swedish skills, both spoken and written
  • Basic English skills
  • Interest in technology and design

Recent graduates are warmly welcome to apply.

Merits

  • Experience as an electrician, preferably installation electrician
  • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools for electrical design
  • Experience from industry, manufacturing, marine operations, or related technical environments

About you

To thrive in this role, we believe you are a person who takes responsibility for your tasks and drives issues forward. You are communicative and feel comfortable collaborating with different professional groups, not least out in production where many important dialogues take place. Furthermore, you are curious, fearless, and solution-oriented. You dare to ask questions, take initiative, and see opportunities where others see obstacles.

You also have the ability to work meticulously without getting stuck in details. You understand the importance of delivering quality while being able to prioritize and move forward when necessary. Above all, we are looking for you who want to develop together with an experienced team and contribute new perspectives in a business that continues to grow.

Conditions and benefits

  • Location: Docksta
  • Full-time with daytime hours, Monday–Friday
  • Market-based salary depending on experience and competence
  • Wellness allowance, collective agreement, and several appreciated employee activities
  • Opportunities for competence development and internal programs within the group
  • Reduced working hours and good work-life balance
  • Start date by agreement
