Malmaskolan in Malmköping is now looking for a secure and inspiring teacher for instruction in Home and Consumer Studies (Hem- och konsumentkunskap) for grades 6-9.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of teacher in Home and Consumer Studies at Malmaskolan, you have one of the school's most important assignments: to give students the tools for a sustainable and independent life. You take clear pedagogical leadership where you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in a way that sparks curiosity and engagement regarding cooking, economics, environment, and health.

The teaching is adapted to students' different needs and levels, where you create a learning environment that both challenges and supports each individual in their development. You give the subject a strong connection to reality by integrating questions about sustainable development, personal finance, and consumer rights into the practical teaching.

In the Home and Consumer Studies room, you are responsible for creating a safe, inspiring, and well-functioning environment where hygiene, safety, and cooperation are natural parts of everyday life. As part of an engaged work team, you actively contribute to collegial learning and experience sharing, and participate in the development of working methods that strengthen students' learning.

In your role as a mentor, you function as an important link between the school and the home. Through close cooperation with guardians and colleagues, you support and guide students in their social and knowledge development.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:

• Be a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Home and Consumer Studies.
• Have good computer skills.
• Have good ability to work structured with planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching.

You are a secure and clear leader in the classroom who creates structure while inspiring students to curiosity and learning. With a relationship-building approach, you build trust and meet students where they are, which enables you to engage them both in theoretical moments and practical work.

You have good pedagogical ability and are skilled at adapting teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You see the strength in alternating theory and practice and find it easy to make the subject relevant and understandable by connecting the teaching to students' daily lives.

Since the teaching partly takes place in a practical environment, you have a structured way of working and a strong focus on safety. You take responsibility for creating a safe and well-organized teaching situation where hygiene, working environment, and cooperation are natural parts.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to an open and developing work team where you share experiences and develop teaching together. With engagement and flexibility, you see opportunities and contribute to students' holistic view of sustainability, economics, and life skills.

Malmaskolan is located in the charming small town of Malmköping, a historic urban area located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Flen. With its approximately 400 students and Bettna School with approximately 65 students, they form a joint principal's area together where collaboration and trusting relationships form the foundation of the operations. Here, the large principal's area's broad network and development opportunities are combined with the small school's proximity and short decision-making paths.
