Welcome to Norberg, the small municipality with the big heart. Our operations reflect a strong commitment among staff, short decision-making paths, and a sense of community. If you want to be part of this, you are warmly welcome.
Engelbrektsskolan is a school for grades 4–9 with approximately 350 students and 55 employees. The school is organized into two work teams and several subject groups.
You will work in an environment where collaboration and support among colleagues are second nature, making it easier to share ideas and develop together.
We are looking for you who are engaged and passionate about teaching, and who want to contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
The Role and Responsibilities
In the role of Music Teacher for grades 5–9, you will work to develop students' knowledge and skills based on the national curriculum, taking into account each student's unique needs and prerequisites. You will plan lessons by setting clear goals, choosing effective methods and materials, and preparing inspiring classes.
You will conduct assessments and provide feedback on students' performance and progress. It is natural for you to promote a positive learning climate where students feel seen and heard. As a class mentor, you will, together with a colleague, have a good overall view of the students' development.
As a teacher here, you are also part of continuous learning. Together with the students, you will evaluate the teaching to improve both their learning and your own pedagogical development. You will also participate in the school's development work and actively contribute to the school environment and community.
Qualifications and Competencies

We value strong pedagogical ability, where you can create an educational and stimulating environment for our students. As a teacher, you are calm, secure, and stable, with the students and their goal fulfillment in focus. In the classroom, you have clear leadership and can communicate your expectations to students effectively.
We also see that you have the ability and willingness to develop your subject, together with colleagues in cross-disciplinary work forms. Good collaboration skills are important, where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are expected to have good IT skills to participate in the school's continued digital journey, as well as being curious and driven in the development of the operations.
We would like you to be a person who shares values such as community and engagement, and who is willing to contribute to the development of our school and the future of our students.
What We Offer and Benefits
Here, you are given the opportunity to truly make a difference in our students' lives. We value every employee's contribution and believe in the importance of a supportive work climate where everyone can grow and develop. In addition to stimulating work where your effort is valued, you as an employee in Norberg Municipality are given the opportunity to use our benefits, such as a health allowance, bike benefit, and the opportunity to donate blood during paid working hours.
