Slottsskolan 7-9 is Vingåker's only secondary school and is located centrally in the municipality. The school has approximately 230 students distributed across four classes per year group, as well as special education groups. We work in three teams consisting of dedicated teachers, special needs educators, and teaching assistants to create the best possible conditions for students' learning and development.

The school was inaugurated in January 2020 and is built to meet the needs of both students and teachers. It features modern facilities with smart technical solutions that promote innovative and effective learning. Every room and subject-specific space is adapted to the specific needs of the subject, giving you as a teacher the best conditions to deliver your teaching.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Slottsskolan 7-9, you will be part of a dynamic team where teaching is continuously developed through collegial learning. We work both within subjects and across subject boundaries to improve our methods. Your role also includes mentoring a group of students together with a colleague.

We are currently looking for a Textile Crafts Teacher who wants to help develop teaching at our school. We work with a student-centered and idea-driven approach to give every student the best possible conditions for success in their learning.

As a Textile Crafts teacher, you will:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching.
• Support and inspire students in the subject to develop their craft knowledge.
• Help students understand the connection between theoretical and practical moments in the subject.
• Work in modern and well-equipped facilities with the latest technology to support student development.

Together with your colleagues, you will develop and adapt teaching to ensure that all students reach their goals. You will lead the pedagogical work in accordance with the curriculum's guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Textile Crafts at the secondary level.
• Has current work experience from teaching at the secondary level.
• Has the ability to create a safe and respectful learning environment where students feel involved and motivated to develop.
• Is engaged, responsive, and has a good ability to adapt your teaching to students' individual needs and conditions.

As a person, we see that you have a positive attitude and are solution-oriented, with the ability to see opportunities even in challenging situations. You are open to feedback and reflection to continuously develop as an educator.

Creating meaningful relationships and building trust with students is a natural part of who you are, and you follow up on and evaluate the quality of teaching based on student results and research-based methods. To work with young people, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) without remarks is required. The position is available subject to necessary decisions being made.
