Valla is a pleasant suburb only a 10-minute commute from Katrineholm. The community has an F-6 school with an associated after-school center, where approximately 30 educators work with just over 200 students. The school offers functional premises that support the development of students' subject knowledge. In addition to classrooms and group rooms, the school has a home economics room, a music room, a science room, two craft rooms, a large library, and two sports halls. The pleasant outdoor environment encourages play and community.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will be a mentor for a class in grade 1 and be responsible for teaching in the class. The assignment includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on current governing documents.

You are responsible for the students' knowledge development and create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment. In the role of mentor, you follow the students' social and academic development through contact with guardians, development conferences, and documentation.

The work also involves collaboration with colleagues, participation in the school's quality work, adapting teaching to students' needs, and promoting and preventive work together with the student health team. You also actively contribute to the school's values and a positive school environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades 1-3. Experience in mentoring or as a class teacher is an advantage. To succeed in the role, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, as well as good digital competence that you use as a natural support in teaching and documentation.

We are looking for you who can plan, implement, and follow up on teaching with a focus on student learning. You work independently, take responsibility, and collaborate actively with colleagues by sharing knowledge and experiences.

You are a secure and clear person in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues. You work inclusively, adapt teaching to students' needs, and are structured, responsible, and solution-focused. You have good collaboration skills, communicate clearly, and want to contribute to the school's development.
