Our client is seeking an interim unit manager for the Community Building Sector and the Sector Support Unit. The assignment covers 60–100% and involves temporary managerial responsibility with direct reporting to the Sector Director until a permanent manager is in place. The role entails leading and coordinating the sector's staff, management, and support functions for a unit of approximately 7–8 employees, with a focus on stability, structure, and continuity in operations.

The assignment includes responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget, as well as support in governance, board processes, operational follow-up, and internal processes. The assignment is performed primarily on-site in Sundbyberg with some possibility for hybrid work.

Mandatory Requirements

The consultant must have:

• An academic degree in fields such as law, economics, public administration, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in managerial roles with responsibility for personnel, operations, and economy, as well as documented experience in leading and coordinating complex assignments within municipal or other politically governed organizations.
• Very good understanding of municipal governance, decision-making processes, and public administration, along with experience working closely with management within staff, management support, or equivalent support functions.
• Experience in operational management and follow-up, as well as supporting managers and leadership in municipal processes related to planning, budgeting, and follow-up. Experience with goal and operational follow-up, annual reports, internal control, and other recurring municipal governance and follow-up processes is particularly important, with the ability to quickly get up to speed and contribute to ongoing work.
• Documented ability to create structure, clarity, and order in complex organizations, as well as experience in document and case management with a good understanding of legal certainty and governing regulations within public operations.
• Very good communicative skills in Swedish, with the ability to express oneself fluently both orally and in writing.

Other Requirements

• Experience must be verified through two (2) reference assignments.
• The reference assignments must have been performed by the offered consultant and be comparable to the current assignment in terms of content, scope, and complexity.

For each reference assignment, the following must be provided:

• Name and type of assignment.
• Scope and financial value of the assignment.
• Name(s) of the consultant(s) who carried out the assignment.
• Description of planning, execution, results, and follow-up.
• Time period of the assignment, including start and end dates.

The client reserves the right to contact the provided references for verification.

• Contact details for reference persons must be provided for potential checks.
• Availability and notice period must be stated.
