About Nitro Consult
Nitro Consult is a specialist consultancy within societal development with roots from Alfred Nobel and a long history of creating safe and sustainable solutions, primarily within: Hydrogeology, rock mechanics, blasting technology, acoustics, and vibration impact.
The company currently consists of approximately 70 consultants throughout Sweden and Norway, with the Stockholm office being the largest with around 35 employees. Here, specialist competence and large societal projects are combined with a family-oriented culture, short decision-making paths, and significant individual responsibility.
About the role
In the role of Business Area Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing Nitro Consult's operations in Stockholm. You have overall responsibility for the business area's development and work closely with group managers to create good conditions for the operations and employees.
An important part of the role is to understand the market, develop customer relationships, and create new opportunities for the business. You work closely with customers, employees, and management, contributing your technical background to the dialogue regarding Nitro Consult's specialist areas.
The role involves among other things:
- Responsibility for the business area's results and development
- Coaching and supporting group managers in their leadership
- Driving operations towards set goals regarding growth, profitability, and quality
- Contributing technical understanding to the dialogue with customers and operations
- Participating in and contributing to the company's management group
We believe that you
You have experience leading employees, for example as a manager or group manager, and feel confident in creating engagement, building trust, and driving development. You have experience from societal development and are accustomed to working closely with customers, operations, and complex assignments.
To succeed in the role, you should have:
- A technical background within, for example, hydrogeology, rock mechanics, blasting technology, vibrations, acoustics, or a related field
- Experience from consultancy, client, or contracting activities within societal development
- Several years of leadership experience with personnel responsibility
- Experience in business development and customer responsibility
- Relevant university or civil engineering degree
- Very good Swedish and English skills in speech and writing
As a person, you are engaged, confident, and business-minded. You have natural leadership qualities, are communicative and unpretentious, and have the ability to switch between strategic issues and operational decisions.

About the recruitment process
The recruitment process consists of three interview steps where you will meet representatives from both operations and management. As part of the process, logic and personality tests, background checks, and reference checks are also conducted.
