We are looking for you who want to work as an acting manager in various parts of the municipality and contribute with leadership, focus, security, and forward momentum. You will be engaged where it is needed most, similar to an internal interim manager.

In this role, you will:

About us

Upplands Väsby Municipality is located in the northern part of the Stockholm region, with proximity to both Arlanda and Uppsala. The municipality is organized into six different offices and has approximately 2,000 employees.

The position as a strategic management resource is newly established and organizationally placed directly under the head of the municipal management office (KLK). It is the head of KLK together with the municipal director who is the client. Based on your current assignment, you will belong to different operations and be part of different management groups at the offices.

Between different acting manager roles, you will lead complex investigations, drive development assignments, or provide support to managers and operations. Through the role, the municipality wants to strengthen organizational learning and create greater collaboration between operations. As a strategic management resource, you get a unique opportunity to contribute with experiences, spread successful working methods, and create value in several parts of the organization.

Are you the one we are looking for?

To succeed in this role, you need to have solid experience of and understanding of the municipal logics, and the prerequisites for leadership in different municipal operations; perhaps you have been a department head or an organizational consultant. You also have a relevant academic education.

Your leadership is characterized by a clear ability to create security, forward momentum, focus, and engagement. Meritorious is if you have experience of investigation assignments, driven manager development, and have knowledge and experience in the area of work environment as well as union collaboration.
