Do you want to contribute to the Swedish intelligence reform?

Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) is being established as part of the reform. We are building a completely new agency that will contribute to strengthening the Swedish intelligence community.

Description

We are looking for a Division Head responsible for the agency's shared technology, infrastructure, and methods, while simultaneously creating the prerequisites for the core operations to conduct innovation work and leverage new technology. Your task in the coming years will be to build an organization that creates the conditions for business-driven innovation, business development, and digital transformation that is both fast-paced and close to operations. You will report directly to the Director General and sit on the agency's management group.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves building a division where business-driven innovation is at the center, with the aim of providing the agency with the prerequisites to analyze, develop, and apply innovative technology and methodology. This means developing effective working methods based on operational requirements to build a functional, secure, and cost-efficient business and IT infrastructure for the agency.

The responsibilities include establishing close cooperation with other intelligence actors and other relevant actors within the total defense and corresponding international contexts.

Qualifications

You have an academic degree or equivalent that the employer deems relevant for the position and have at least five years of experience in a corresponding managerial role. You have experience leading operations through managers. You have also driven change work within business transformation and digital development with documented good results.

You have extensive knowledge of innovation, business development, and digital transformation. It is an advantage if you have experience from work within intelligence or security services or other knowledge-intensive operations, as well as national and international cooperation. If you have experience working in an agency's management group, we also consider this an advantage.

As a person, you are proactive and development-oriented with a structured approach to work. You can adapt to changed conditions and have an understanding of how the recipient absorbs knowledge. In your leadership, you are good at creating engagement and involvement, and you motivate employees to achieve common goals. You are unpretentious, have good judgment, and good collaboration skills.

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment. Initially, you will be employed in the committee tasked with forming the agency. The position is subject to the condition that necessary decisions are made.

Swedish citizenship is required to work at UND. The position is classified for security, and a security clearance check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.

Sveriges utrikes underrättelsetjänst (UND) is a new agency that will begin its operations on January 1, 2027, and subsequently grow gradually.

UND will be a national intelligence resource that supports Swedish foreign, security, and defense policy in peace, crisis, and war. By detecting, identifying, and warning of external threats, the agency will promote Sweden's national security interests and the security of our allies. The agency's task is to support the government, the Government Offices, and other agencies.

The agency will be located in the Stockholm area.
