About the role

As Unit Manager for Open Leisure Activities, you play a central role in leading, developing, and ensuring the quality of activities that contribute to the health, well-being, and hope for the future of children and young people. You are responsible for the open leisure activities, which include youth clubs, youth centers, and other leisure initiatives for children and young people.

You have full responsibility for operations, economy, work environment, and personnel, with personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees. The role involves close collaboration with the operations manager, management group, other departments, and external partners.

  • Ensuring a safe, transparent, and well-functioning collaboration process

  • Supporting employees through the change process

  • Maintaining a stable operation with high quality throughout the transition period

  • Have full personnel and work environment responsibility for approximately 20 employees

  • Drive development and change work

  • Ensure good collaboration with internal and external actors

  • Work strategically based on governing documents, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and municipal goals

  • Create conditions for an operation that promotes participation, safety, and inclusion for children and young people

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a secure, present, and relationship-building leader. You create engagement through participation and clarity, while also having the ability to make well-founded decisions even in complex and changing situations.

You are accustomed to leading people through change and have a genuine interest in issues concerning the living conditions of children and young people. Through your trust-based leadership, you build strong relationships and create a culture characterized by respect, collaboration, and development.

QualificationsRequirements
  • Relevant university education or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways

  • Documented experience of managerial or leadership assignments

  • Experience of personnel responsibility, budget work, operational planning, and result follow-up

  • Experience of working with children and young people
