The Property Department is responsible for the university's premises, housing, and associated services. The department has approximately 90 employees and works with issues such as premises and housing supply, security, physical work environment, and various service tasks.

We are now looking for a Team Leader for Housing Supply.

The Housing Group is responsible for the university's housing for international students, doctoral candidates, and researchers. This activity is an important part of the university's internationalization and contributes to making Stockholm University attractive to students and researchers from around the world.

Responsibilities

As Team Leader, you lead a business responsible for the university's housing stock of approximately 750 apartments. You have personnel responsibility for a group of five employees and are responsible for operations, economy, and work environment.

You report to the Section Manager for Premises and Housing Supply. As Team Leader, you actively participate in the Property Department's management forum, where you, together with other managers, contribute to the department's development.

The role involves many contact areas, both internally within the university and externally with property owners, authorities, and other partners.

As Team Leader, you are responsible, among other things, for:

  • leading, planning, and developing the group's operational activities
  • developing processes and working methods to meet the business's needs
  • creating conditions for a good work environment and engaged employees
  • being responsible for budget, financial follow-up, and resource planning
  • ensuring legally secure and efficient handling of the housing
  • being responsible for follow-up, renegotiation, and renewal of rental agreements
  • developing cooperation with the university's external landlords
  • contributing to the university's internationalization work
  • collaborating with other activities within the Property Department and other parts of the university.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • at least three years of documented managerial experience with personnel responsibility
  • relevant academic education or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer
  • experience in budget, business, and personnel responsibility
  • experience in leading administrative, service-oriented, or property management activities
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience from universities, higher education institutions, or other public authorities
  • experience in housing supply, property management, or rental administration
  • experience in change management and business development
  • knowledge of rental law, contract issues, or public procurement (LOU)
  • experience working in an international environment.
  • good digital competence and experience working in modern IT systems.

About the Position

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting.
