About the job

As Unit Manager at the Permits Unit within the Legal Department for Banking Law, you lead the operations and staff handling permit cases for banks, credit market companies, debt collection agencies, and credit administrators. You are also responsible for the group of lawyers handling requests for public documents within the Banking and Payments area.

In your role as manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the operations are conducted efficiently, legally securely, and with high quality. This includes, among other things, making decisions in cases, distributing tasks, monitoring operations, and ensuring that deadlines and internal guidelines are followed. Together with the area's controller, you are also responsible for economic planning and follow-up.

You collaborate closely with other managers, colleagues, and departments within the authority and report to the Department Director. The role also involves ongoing contact with companies, representatives, industry representatives, the Government Offices, and the European Banking Authority (EBA).

In your role as manager, you lead, support, and create good conditions for your employees' results and development, including through clear goals and continuous follow-up. You develop the business strategically and long-term based on FI's overall goals and work for the whole and cooperation across operational boundaries.

Your education and experience

We are looking for you who

  • have a Master of Laws degree (Jur.kand. or equivalent)
  • have several years of experience in qualified legal work, for example from courts, the Government Offices, other authorities, or law firms
  • express yourself very well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you

  • have experience of project management, supervision, supervisory positions, or formal managerial experience
  • have experience of applying the commercial banking regulations and other issues related to FI's operations
  • have experience and interest in administrative tasks with a focus on structure, planning, and follow-up
  • have good knowledge of administrative law.
