We are now looking for a Unit Manager for Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydväst (Job Center Adults Southwest). You will lead an engaged operation in development and help shape the work regarding the new activity requirement introduced in July 2026 – a role with great scope to influence working methods and develop the operation together with your employees.

This is Jobbtorg Stockholm

Jobbtorg Stockholm is a department within the labor market administration of Stockholm City that works with labor market initiatives. We provide support to young and adults who are outside the labor market – through conversations, coaching, collaboration, and educational pathways. Around 550 employees work at 24 units across the city with us.

Welcome to Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydväst – part of Jobbtorg Stockholm

Jobbtorg Stockholm is divided into four operational areas based on target groups and assignments. The unit Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydväst is part of the "Adults" operational area, which is led by me, Viktoria Lokka Hollander, as the Area Manager. As a Unit Manager, you will be part of my leadership group along with nine other unit managers. The leadership group consists of a mix of experiences and competencies and meets every week to find solutions to common challenges together. Our assignment

Our assignment is to work towards people who are job seekers and receive social assistance becoming self-sufficient through work and/or studies. The goal is for everyone to find their path to their own sustainable livelihood. The target group is adults aged 30–66, with different backgrounds, experiences, and conditions, but with the commonality that they are outside the labor market.

Where we are located

Today there are four Job Centers for adults, where you will lead the unit Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydväst, which covers the southern and southwestern parts of Stockholm with catchment areas in Södermalm, Hägersten-Älvsjö, and Skärholmen. The Job Center is based in Skärholmen and is co-located with Jobbtorg Unga Sydväst (Job Center Young Southwest), which provides close collaboration with your fellow unit manager on joint development issues.

Your role

As a Unit Manager, you lead approximately 30 employees, the majority of whom are job coaches. The responsibility includes leading and developing the work within the unit in accordance with the operational area's and department's goals. You report to the Area Manager.

The role involves:

• Personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility
• Being part of the operational area's leadership group together with the Area Manager and 9 fellow unit managers
• Carrying out systematic work environment and quality work
• Responsible for operational and strategic collaboration internally and externally
• Directing, planning, and developing the unit's work based on monitoring and analysis of the unit's goals and results

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• A relevant completed academic higher education degree
• Several years of current management experience in a relevant area for the position
• Experience in driving and contributing to strategic development work
• Experience in change management with documented good results
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with labor market issues, preferably in municipal operations
• Experience working with financial assistance (social welfare).
