- About You
Experience tells us that we will receive over 50 applications. Two positions will be filled. We will select our employees with great care. Therefore, we want to be clear that your application must truly show who you are and what you want to contribute to our group home.
If you are not passionate about working with people with intellectual disabilities, do not apply. The people living with us have autism combined with developmental disabilities. If you do not like this, that is perfectly fine, but then look for another job. If you are unsure whether you should apply for the job, don't. If you are a flexible person who could imagine working with anything, don't apply for this job. This job is not "anything." If the Employment Service has told you that you must apply for many jobs and you found our ad and feel forced to apply, do not apply to us. If you feel that your mobile phone is as important as, or more important than, performing a good job, and that Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are part of your duties, do not apply. If you are unsure about how a clock works, or have difficulty keeping time, do not apply. If you do not have suitable education or experience, or a strong desire to truly learn, do not apply. If you do not meet the requirements, do not apply.
A tough introduction? Yes, absolutely, but as a housing support worker, you are the representative and right hand of a person with a disability. If you are the right person, we look forward to receiving your application! It is of great importance that we hire the right people.
To thrive in the role of housing support worker, you must enjoy working actively with people. We put the individual at the center, which places demands on you to express yourself clearly and adapt your way of communicating in different situations. We document all interventions performed, which is why you must be fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing. You will work with individual support tailored to each resident's needs to create the best conditions for as independent a life as possible. This is why it is important that you are a stable and secure point for the residents. You are structured and quality-conscious and wish to contribute to operational development. You will become part of a fantastic team, and together with our residents, you will become a tight group that helps each other grow.
We see the group home, Trädgården, as a place for development, both for the residents and for the staff. We are what is called a BoDa operation (BOarding and DAily activity), which means that as an employee, you also handle daily activities and activities during the day for our residents. We want you to have relevant education, but most importantly, we want to put the right person in the right place. By relevant education, we mean, for example, a secondary school care education, childminder, or a university education in behavioral science. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. So if you feel that this could be a fantastic job, you are warmly welcome to send your application to us.
- Your Tasks
As a housing support worker, your job will be to help our residents achieve a functioning daily life with good care and stimulating leisure time. We have 6 places, and here you will work both in the group home and in daily activities. Those living with us are people with severe autism combined with developmental disabilities, which is a fantastic but challenging target group to work with. Common tasks may include cooking, taking residents out for activities, helping them with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), as well as planning and carrying out activities in our daily operations. You will support and guide in training and daily routines both inside and outside the home to provide the best conditions for a good life. We also work with contact person duties, which means that you, as an employee, will have the ultimate responsibility for contact with the relatives and representatives of one of our residents. Tasks may vary from day to day, which is why it is important that you are attentive, proactive, and not afraid to jump in when needed.
The group home is staffed 365 days a year, and the work is scheduled with rotating days, evenings, and weekends. We work every other weekend. We have sleeping night shifts, which means you sleep at work but must be ready to work if any of the residents need care.
- Salary, Compensation, and Benefits
We follow the collective agreement of Kommunal. The positions are full-time, but the degree of employment can be discussed based on individual wishes.
Start date by agreement. The positions are filled continuously, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
We handle the recruitment ourselves and do not wish to be contacted by recruitment agencies.
