RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at the Cultural School in Landskrona, you will become part of a tight-knit collegium. Together, we contribute to and collaborate on the school's outward-facing activities, such as various types of performances and shows. You will be part of one of our two work teams with creative teachers, where you can benefit from each other's competencies in planning lessons, projects, and concerts. Our work teams are cross-curricular and consist of teachers with various subject competencies.

As a theatre teacher, you will independently plan and conduct teaching in your theatre groups. You teach students from the age of 7 and upwards, so you need to be confident working with children and young people across the entire age range of 7 to 21 years.

The role of theatre teacher also includes student intake, contact with guardians, and attendance management.

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 50%.

The work is mainly scheduled for afternoons and evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are outgoing and engaged, and who gain energy from working with children and young people. You find cross-artistic work developing and exciting. You find it easy to meet new people and build good relationships. We are an engaged organization where we gladly take on events and activities that can occasionally involve a high workload. This requires flexibility and teamwork skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Formal competence requirements and advantageous experience:

  • Education as a cultural school pedagogue (Kulturskoleklivet), theatre pedagogue, drama pedagogue, or other education and/or experience considered equivalent.
  • Fluent command of Swedish in speech and writing.
  • We view previous experience of teaching at a cultural school as advantageous, but if you are a recent graduate with the right education, we naturally do not require prior experience.
  • Having experience and knowledge of building stage scenery and/or working with costumes for theatre productions or stage technology is advantageous.

Working hours: The work is mainly scheduled for afternoons and evenings. Some weekend work may occur in connection with performances.
