About the position
We are now welcoming a new colleague to our vehicle and transport program at the national upper secondary school for the deaf and hard of hearing – passenger cars. In your role as a teacher, you will work with planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, while actively supporting and motivating students in their development, both socially and academically. Together in the work team, you will cover a broad range of competencies within different parts of the passenger car area. We work in teams, and the work group is jointly responsible for workshops and equipment, students' workplace-based learning (APL), company contacts, and other forms of collaboration.
Examples of tasks:
- teaching in vocational subjects within the passenger car area
- mentorship
- joint planning and follow-up of teaching, as well as development of the program
- working and documenting in the operational systems used
- participating in other work at the school together with the school staff
About the workplace
Tullängsgymnasiet is a modern technical upper secondary school in southern Örebro with high appeal. The school has close cooperation with local businesses. We offer vocational training in Construction and Civil Engineering, Computer Communications, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Transport, and Plumbing/HVAC. We also offer the university-preparatory Technology program. Tullängsgymnasiet has approximately 1,400 students and 200 employees.

Qualifications
We see that you, as a teacher with us, have a flexible approach to your surroundings, that you are creative and find it easy to build new relationships. You have good pedagogical insight and find it easy to collaborate with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You are self-reliant in your work, and the role requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You master the Swedish language to the extent that you can communicate with students and other staff, and can document in writing what the operations require.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- licensed teacher in vocational subjects within the passenger car area or similar qualification to teach at upper secondary and/or adult education, or qualified professional experience in relevant areas
- competence in mechanics (basics and advanced)
- competence in diagnostics
- competence in electricity/hybrid
Meritorious:
- experience in teaching/guidance
- experience in qualified work within the motor industry
- AC certificate
- knowledge of sign language
- experience working with people with neuropsychiatric disabilities
