Job Description

We are now looking for a Primary School Teacher in After-School Centre (Fritidshem) at Rådmansvången!

You will work at our after-school centre for grades 4–6 and teach Grade 6 in Home Economics. Your responsibilities include leading, developing, and evaluating the school's after-school centre, as well as planning, teaching, and assessing Home and Consumer Studies for Grade 6.

As a Primary School Teacher in the after-school centre, you plan and conduct teaching and assess learning in our centre. Based on the curriculum and governing documents, we create a safe environment together that aims to strengthen our students in both their knowledge development and personal growth, while providing them with a meaningful leisure time. In the after-school centre, we also strive to promote diverse contacts, social community, and strengthen group relationships.

During school hours, you collaborate with school staff, and it is also relevant for you to conduct teaching in one or more subjects during the students' school time. Together, we create a activity that meets our students and guardians in the best possible way based on their individual needs!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in the after-school centre with a specialization in Home Economics. Previous experience in the profession is meritorious. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout the day.

Your teaching is modern and develops based on evidence-based research. With good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools.

About the Workplace

Rådmansvången School has approximately 470 students in grades 4 to 9. The school is located along Klerkgatan and Rådmansgatan. The premises were fully renovated eight years ago, and the old charm of the buildings has been preserved. Grades 4–6 are housed in the building on Rådmansgatan, and grades 7–9 are on Klerkgatan, in the premises where the former Pildammsskolan was located. The school's proximity to culture, parks, the city center, and transportation gives our students great opportunities for varied learning environments. Our after-school centre is located in its own, newly renovated building. We are looking for you who want to work on and develop both the school and the after-school centre together with the existing staff.
