What does the job as a Personal Assistant involve?

As a personal assistant, you work in the home of a person with a disability. There, you help with the everyday tasks that many take for granted, such as dressing, household chores, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. You make a big difference and help another person's daily life function smoothly.

We have customers of different ages and with different disabilities. Your workplace is wherever the customer is, and the job is both varied and eventful. We believe that contributing every day to enable a person to live their life as they wish is the most important job in the world.

Job Description

We are now looking for you who want to work for our 18-year-old customer who lives in central Malmö with his family. The customer uses a wheelchair and has an intellectual disability. He needs help with, among other things, transfers, personal hygiene, exercise, assistance during meals, etc. He enjoys going for walks, swimming, and taking other excursions. As an assistant, you are also his voice in social situations as he needs help and support in his communication with others. As an assistant for this customer, you work afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and are helpful both at home and during various activities outside the home.

We are looking for you who are engaged, respectful, and receptive. We would like you to have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you can be the assistant we are looking for.

We would like you to:

• have a genuine interest in helping others
• understand and master the Swedish language well
• be playful and social, and have experience working with children/young people
• be a non-smoker
• be a swimmer and able to go swimming with the customer
• have a driver's license

Other Information

Employment type: Fixed-term employment for the duration of the assistance assignment

Scope: Fixed schedule of approx. 40%

Working hours: Weekdays 15:45–22:00 and weekends 07:00–17:00 / 14:00–22:00

Start date: Immediately or by agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. An extract from the criminal record will be requested before employment.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
