Job Responsibilities

Do you want to try working in a school while gaining valuable knowledge and experience from working life? Then this might be for you!

We are now looking for flexible and responsible substitute teachers for our secondary schools (grades 7-9).

Working as a substitute teacher means replacing permanent staff during absences. Work takes place Monday to Friday. Working hours vary; it can be a few hours per day, a full day, or longer periods according to the schedule. Often, you are required to be able to step in with short notice.

If you are employed as a substitute teacher, you decide yourself which days and times you are available for work. The more available you are, the greater the chance of getting work.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have the right education for the assignment. For work in school grades 7-9, we are looking for you who are a qualified teacher.

If you do not have the right education as described above but wish to "try out" work in a school, you are given the opportunity to do so for a limited period (300 days). This requires that you have passed high school grades in core subjects (Swedish, Math, English, Social Studies) as well as good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

The work requires that you are responsible, flexible, and have a good attitude towards both students and colleagues.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days – 3 months.

Background Check

To work in preschools, schools, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the Law on Register Control, submit a certificate of good conduct from the police. You must request the certificate yourself from the Swedish Police Authority using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record Register" in the form archive on the police website.
