Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered under a common administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Local Healthcare Area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, the Rehabilitation Centre, the Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, the Centre for Surgical Operations, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work towards providing good and accessible care. Norsjö Health Centre is part of Skellefteå Primary Care West, along with Erikslid, Heimdall, and Boliden Health Centres.

In the municipality of Norsjö, with approximately 4,000 inhabitants, lies our health centre. Most of the municipality's residents are registered with us. Our team consists of approximately 20 employees across various competencies who collaborate to provide the population with good and accessible care. Our rehabilitation team works successfully with assessment, treatment, and sick leave issues. We offer patients with mental health issues contact with the psychosocial team. The building also houses Child Health Services (BVC) and a Midwife Clinic. Our close dialogue with the hospital, municipality, and other collaboration partners ensures that cooperation regarding patients is smooth and highly functional, despite the long distances. Job Description

As a General Practitioner with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment, helping people feel safe.

Together with two GP colleagues, you work with rural medicine. Together, you provide the population with continuity and security when they need healthcare.

The specialty of general medicine is characterized by meeting the patient throughout their life. Competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, as well as independently assessing and treating them. In general medical specialist work, one must also follow an individual's various health issues over time and, in assessing health problems, take into account the person's entire life situation. The fact that the health centre is located 8 miles from the nearest hospital makes the work even more varied and challenging than what can be offered at a health centre in an urban area.

You work to a high degree independently, but teamwork with colleague doctors and other professions occurs as a natural part of the work. With us, you have the opportunity to supervise AT-, BT-, and ST-doctors as well as students to become future colleagues.

Duty shifts in the primary care on-call service are included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine.

You are meticulous, take great responsibility for your work and workplace, and are confident in your profession. You can work both independently and in a team and have good social competence. We believe you are a curious and creative person who enjoys trying new approaches and working methods.
