Description

We are currently seeking a registered nurse for the municipal healthcare system, preferably with specialist training in primary healthcare (district nursing) or elderly care, although this is not a requirement. Our nurses work together in elderly care special housing, short-term stays, ordinary housing, as well as within LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) care and social psychiatry. The person we are looking for will primarily work in home healthcare and in our special housing facilities.

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

As a nurse in the municipality, you work with healthcare interventions in close team collaboration with other healthcare staff, the healthcare manager, and the region's primary care. The work involves tasks such as acute and planned interventions, individual medical assessments, assessments of specific nursing care, as well as risk assessments and fall prevention. In addition to patient-facing work, you play an important role in collaboration with physiotherapists and occupational therapists in multiprofessional teams, as well as with nursing staff and doctors in primary care. The work also involves contact with external healthcare providers, relatives, and patient representatives.

Mentoring students is also an important part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. We prefer that you have specialist training in elderly care or as a district nurse. Personal suitability is given great weight.

You have good initiative and are good at thinking outside the box. You are capable of working independently while recognizing the importance of collaboration with various professional groups, where the patient themselves also plays an active role. Naturally, you have a good, respectful attitude, are receptive, and open in contacts with both the people being cared for and their relatives. You are good at collaborating and want to contribute to good communication and cooperation with colleagues and other actors. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Conditions

A driver's license is required, and you should have experience driving a car.

Before an employment offer is made, a valid extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register for home care work with the elderly must be presented.

Starting salary for newly graduated nurses is 34,000 SEK. Vännäs Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.
