The Region's primary care provides comprehensive primary healthcare services throughout Västerbotten County, serving patients of all ages in both urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and rural clinics, we are where you are. We actively engage in research and development and utilize medical findings to offer high-quality care where the patient is an active participant. The rural clinics are part of the Southern Lapland primary care area, which serves as a model area for the transition to close-to-home care. Through effective collaboration and a focus on the citizen, we drive important changes within the Region and in cooperation with the municipalities. Remote clinical assessment and digital healthcare meetings are developing rapidly and are crucial for securing good, accessible, and close-to-home care in this area. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we are at the forefront in this field. The rural clinic model, a key starting point for close-to-home care, influences both attitude and working methods in the daily operations.

The rural clinics in Storuman, Sorsele, and Tärnaby belong to the same basic unit and are located in Southern Lapland, 13 miles apart, with Sorsele and Storuman being 7 miles apart. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.

Our rural clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, ambulance services, and laboratories. Our use of telemedicine is well-developed. The staff includes occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, counselors, doctors, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and assistant nurses. We provide emergency care as well as routine health center work and have a well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and the municipalities.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You work in a professional manner with the patient always in focus. As a nurse, you must assess the patients' medical and specific care needs and then plan and prioritize the interventions to be implemented.

The role of nurse also requires your ability to lead and motivate other care staff to create a good work environment and offer quality care together. The work demands independence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make timely decisions in the correct order.

Qualifications

You who apply must have a license as a nurse.
