RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a social secretary for the group that handles children aged 7–14. Investigating social secretaries assess children's need for support or protection, grant interventions through needs assessment, and follow up on decided interventions. The work is based on both the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSB).
The Child and Youth Unit consists of approximately 65 employees. We are divided into six working groups with different focuses.
Nässjö Municipality has a well-developed work with Early Coordinated Interventions – TSI, with the aim of detecting children's need for support at an early stage. We are part of, among other things, an extensive home visit program via the Family Center, preschool social teams, school social teams, attendance teams, and SSPF.
- Our reception function receives and assesses reports of concern and applications.
- Three groups investigate, make decisions, and follow up on interventions.
- One of these groups also follows up on residential care placements (HVB) as well as youth who are suspected and convicted of crimes.
- A special foster care group follows the care of children placed in foster homes.
- Interventions without needs assessment are provided via the Family Center and open care, where family therapy is also conducted.
Each working group has a group leader who leads and distributes the daily work.
We are a unit with broad experience, have worked together for a long time, get along well, and where laughter is an important part.
Working in a team is seen as a strength, and great importance is placed on working relationally and together with the family.
Since we work broadly with TSI, collaboration is a significant part of the role.
We have an official BBIC license and document in Combine. External supervision is included in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with a degree in social work or other equivalent education. You have experience with the authority functions of social services, preferably directed towards children and young people. You have good knowledge of the mandate of social services and current legislation. Experience with BBIC is meritorious.
As a person, you are careful, independent, and have no trouble handling changes in conditions and planning in the work.
Since we focus heavily on collaboration for the best interest of the child, the work involves many contacts, both internal and external. Therefore, you must have good cooperation skills, be outgoing, and positive. You should be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing. Personal suitability is highly valued. We are looking for you who have a B driving license.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Salary: Monthly salary.
- Employment type: Permanent position.
