We are now looking for temporary staff to join our team at Garvarvägen. We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a difference!

About Garvarvägen Garvarvägen is a group home under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) aimed at individuals with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disabilities.

Garvarvägen is located 2 kilometers outside Ljusdal town center, beautifully situated near nature, beaches, and pleasant walking paths, with a short walk to the center. The beautiful area is called Lillhaga, with Lake Borrsjön on one side and the Ljusnan River on the other. In Ljusdal, you will find most community services such as grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, healthcare centers, riding clubs, shops, swimming spots, and more.

There are 10 employees at Garvarvägen. Our staff have experience and knowledge to work with our target group. They have relevant education in social care, such as nursing programs, vocational training in social care, or social work degrees.

About the role As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. A key part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are during the day, evenings, weekends, as well as sleeping on-call and awake nights.

You have a coordinator close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You, as an applicant, have upper secondary education in care and nursing or equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always having the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
