The school is centrally located in the community but close to forests and other green areas. It is a preschool-grade 6 (F-6) school with approximately 165 students and an after-school center with two units, Biet (The Bee) and Blomman (The Flower).

Fredriksberg School is a school where all students get to shine. Fredriksberg School and the school's after-school center have three common development areas during the 2025/2026 school year:

  • SOL – Be yourself and shine!
  • Study Environment – Students' experience of a good study environment should increase.
  • Care – Increased perceived safety and well-being. At Fredriksberg School, we show care for each other, ourselves, and our school environment.
  • Reading – Getting all students to read books, making reading a part of students' daily lives, and helping them find a love for reading.

About Östansjö School

Östansjö School is a small school with approximately 110 students located in the middle of the community of Östansjö, about 8 km outside Hallsberg. It is a school where all students are included, seen, and where there are good conditions for building good relationships. The educators collaborate closely within and between work teams, which provides flexibility in the school's daily routine. We count all students as everyone's! The operations are characterized by a shared vision and clear leadership. Trusting collaboration between home, school, and after-school center is significant for creating a holistic view of each student's development. At Östansjö School, everyone has the prerequisites to succeed! Our goal is to create a good environment for education, thinking, and knowledge development. We do this by meeting every individual with respect for their person and their work, as well as providing a safe environment and positive hope for the future.

In both our operations, the ambition is that all students with us should feel joy in being and working in our operations; they should feel involved, safe, and inspired. We take advantage of students' interests and let their natural search for knowledge lead us on new discoveries in accordance with the national guidelines formulated in our governing curricula. We work according to good pedagogical structures, a culture that everyone is responsible for, and good leadership in our operations. The school and after-school center work based on "Bråka smartare" (Make noise smarter), a value-based material for collaboration and conflict management.
