Schools in Katrineholm offer a secure and developmental education with creative learning as the focus. Within the Education and Labour Market Administration, we have preschools, primary schools, special needs primary schools, upper secondary schools, special needs upper secondary schools, reception units for newly arrived students, municipal activity responsibility, adult education, cultural schools, technical schools, central child and student health services, a labour market unit, and a Campus for higher studies.

Skogsborgsskolan is a grades F-6 school with integrated after-school care activities. The school is located in central Katrineholm, close to culture and nature. The outdoor learning environment is very varied, with large areas for teaching and learning. The school and after-school care participate in the research project IBIS, and our guiding words that permeate all parts of the operations are RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and CARE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as an after-school teacher, you work with a full-day perspective on the students. You should be able to stage learning and create pedagogical environments for the students' learning and development, both in the after-school care and during the school day. You are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the teaching in the after-school care in collaboration with other staff, based on national goals and guidelines. Working with promoting and preventive values-based work and being an active recess supervisor are part of the job responsibilities.

We would like you to contribute your knowledge and teach in one of the practical-aesthetic subjects during the students' school day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree as a primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care or alternatively an after-school pedagogical degree. Teacher certification is a requirement; a focus on music or art is meritorious. We would like you to have good knowledge of values-based work, and previous experience of working in after-school care is desirable.

You possess good collaboration skills with other people in the operation, where you pay attention to others' opinions and competence and give them space in the group. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. Relational leadership is crucial for your work. You take initiative for new suggestions and working methods. You start activities and achieve the desired result and should also catch the students' spontaneous ideas and wishes. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changed circumstances in your working methods when conditions change. You act without pretension in changes and act to promote your own development and continued work.

Salary: Monthly salary.
