As a communicator, you have a cohesive responsibility for the development of the municipality's public communication. You are responsible for the social media strategy and the municipality's work in overarching social channels, as well as being the editor of the magazine Nolaskogs, which is published four times a year. The role also includes participation in the municipality's crisis management team. You contribute to the development of your own unit's processes and carry out communication initiatives for various operations within the municipality.

Responsibilities

  • A combination of strategic responsibility, operational content work, and coordination – with a focus on making the municipality understandable, visible, and accessible to residents.
  • Plan, develop, and follow up on how the municipality communicates about societal development, decisions, and services. Translate complex issues into understandable information for residents.
  • Develop and manage the municipality's overarching social media strategy.
  • Publish content and be responsible for tone, presence, and engagement.
  • Plan and lead the production of the municipality's magazine (Nolaskogs).
  • Write, edit, and coordinate articles.
  • Support the municipality's operations with communication initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university education in communication or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a communicator, preferably within the public sector.
  • Good digital competence, including experience with publishing systems and social media.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The Consultancy and Service Administration provides support and services to the administrations in our areas of property, operations and maintenance, catering, IT, and administrative support services.

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents include passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register are required. We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are classified for security, so a security clearance may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
