Business Developer with Competence in Administrative Law

The purpose of the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket) is to provide the prerequisites for a stable and well-functioning business sector. By registering and providing current and correct company information, we contribute to increased transparency and security for actors in society. We strive to make it as easy as possible to start and run a business, and contribute in collaboration with others to ensure that companies are not used as tools for crime.

About the Role

As a Business Developer, you are a crucial link between the operations and the development teams when new or existing digital services are developed. You drive business development at the intersection of administrative law, operations, and IT. A particular focus in the role is the quality of the agency's registers. You contribute to ensuring that legal requirements are reflected in the development work and that data is handled correctly and reliably.

You belong organizationally to the "Start a Business" unit and are part of the unit's management group. Tasks may occur across the entire Business Department.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare memorandums, analyses, and decision support materials for management.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and working methods related to register quality.
  • Drive or participate in development initiatives where administrative law and digitalization meet.
  • Translate legal requirements into consequences for processes, working methods, and system support.
  • Contribute to requirements specification, process mapping, and the development of e-services and operational support.
  • Identify legal issues and collaborate with the legal department in the development work.

About You

We are looking for someone who can create engagement and involvement and has the ability to drive your work forward together with others. You have the ability to see connections and can weigh together different perspectives for the benefit of the operations. You can analyze complex information and turn it into clear and useful solutions. Finally, you need to be able to plan and organize your work effectively and drive tasks forward.

Requirements

  • An academic degree in a field relevant to the operations, such as law, political science, or social sciences, or equivalent knowledge and experience assessed as relevant by the employer.
  • Several years of current experience in qualified work with administrative law application within an agency or other public operations.
  • Experience in leading assignments or projects.
  • Experience in development work within public operations, especially within digitalization.
  • Experience in working according to changed legal requirements and legal assessments.
  • Experience in collaborating with development teams and agile working methods.
  • Very good knowledge of administrative law as well as good knowledge of data protection and public access and confidentiality.
  • Good understanding of the governance of Swedish public administration as well as EU legislation and directives affecting the operations.
  • Very good ability to communicate clearly, pedagogically, and target-group adapted in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in law.
  • Experience of working with registers, register quality, or register maintenance in the public sector.
  • Experience in requirements specification and development of e-services or operational support.
  • Experience in development work in collaboration with external stakeholders.
  • Experience of legal issues in digitalization projects or in the development of e-services.
