Vocational Teacher for the Electrical and Energy Programme

Do you want to help train the electricians and automation technicians of the future? This might be the job for you. We are now looking for an engaged vocational teacher for our Electrical and Energy Programme, where you will have the opportunity to combine your technical competence with inspiring and developing young people for their future professional lives.

Here, you will become part of an experienced and engaged work team with a long tradition of training electricians with high quality. The programme is in an exciting phase of development and is growing continuously, with the goal of having approximately 150 students by 2027. We work closely together and develop the education jointly based on both the students' needs and the industry's future competence requirements.

You will belong to the work team for the Electrical and Energy Programme, where we currently consist of five vocational teachers and two teachers in subjects common to upper secondary school. We will soon have two classes in each year group with approximately 25 students per class. As a teacher here, you will, together with a colleague, have mentor responsibility for a class and follow the students through their development during their studies.

We are a stable and secure work team with broad experience and close collaboration in everyday life. Relationships with the students are important to us, and we actively work to create a safe and developmental learning environment where students are given the right conditions to succeed. We are proud of our results and that virtually all of our students move on to employment after completing their studies.

Job Responsibilities

As a vocational teacher, you teach within the Electrical and Energy Programme based on your competence and experience. The teaching may include both practical and theoretical moments within areas such as electrical installation, automation, and control technology.

You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching, and actively work to create a safe and developmental learning environment for the students. The role also includes collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and industry contacts to ensure an education that meets the needs of the labor market.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience within electricity, industry, or automation and who want to contribute to the students' learning and development. You have good technical understanding and feel confident in both practical and theoretical work. You enjoy collaborating with others and see the value of working together in teams to develop teaching and operations forward.

For the position, we see that you have good knowledge within automation and control technology, as well as an interest in young people's development and learning. You have a teaching license or professional experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is meritorious if you have experience or knowledge in areas such as PLC programming, HMI and SCADA systems, measurement and control technology, as well as pneumatics and hydraulics. If you also have experience of teaching or supervision, we view this positively.

As a person, you are engaged, solution-oriented, and have a positive attitude. You want to be an active part of the development of the operation and enjoy creating good relationships with both students and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
