Vittra Schools is one of Sweden's leading independent school companies, operating 24 preschools and primary schools nationwide. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and employ around 1,000 staff members. We opened our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest education company in the Nordics, since 2008. Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are formed, equipped with the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We achieve this through our unique pedagogical approach based on three pillars: conscious learning, a courageous culture, and clear structure.
Vittra Örebro has been a newly established school operation since August 2022, with 153 students distributed across grades 6–9. The school is located at Karlsgatan 30 in central Örebro. As our current Spanish teacher will be teaching another subject starting in autumn 2026, we are therefore seeking a qualified Spanish teacher for grades 6–9 for a 50% position.
About Vittra
At Vittra, you will join an operation characterized by strong commitment, high quality, and plenty of joy. You will work in a stimulating and secure environment, fostering close pedagogical relationships between adults and children. At Vittra, we have high expectations of ourselves and our collaborative work, which is based on collegial learning and the individual needs of the student. Together, we build a secure and challenging environment where everyone – both students and adults – can develop according to their own prerequisites.
At Vittra, we believe in conscious learning, a courageous culture, and education rooted in society, where students engage with the community outside of school in various ways. Current social issues are woven into our teaching, and we explore what happens beyond the school walls. This happens, for example, through editorial work and projects linked to local and global goals. At our school, it is important that students practice thinking for themselves, expressing themselves, and making a difference.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher in Spanish for grades 6–9. Together with future colleagues and new students, you want to help create a positive school culture at Vittra Örebro.
You need to be a secure and clear leader with a focus on student goal achievement. We see you as a teacher who builds your instruction on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, needs, and abilities. The position includes class teacher responsibilities.
At Vittra, we strive for a cross-curricular approach that gives students a holistic view and understanding of how different subjects and reality are connected. To enable such meaning-making regarding learning and development, you will belong to a work team, and it is important that you are interested in participating in and contributing to collegial learning.
Vittra aims to be at the forefront when it comes to digital tools for increased goal achievement. Therefore, it is an advantage if you are interested in and have experience using IT in your teaching, for example, Google Apps for Education.
What We Offer
We offer a developing work environment with many career paths. Vittra has an education program consisting of various external courses as well as internal training, including a leadership development program for work team leaders and networking meetings for lead teachers. As a teacher with us, you become part of 23 other Vittra schools in central and southern Sweden with a clear and common working method. This provides the opportunity to influence both the school's and your own development.
