About the Position

The Social Services Administration in Degerfors Municipality is now looking for an Emergency Coordinator. In this role, you will play a key part in the organization, working closely with the administration's management group, the Municipality's Security Coordinator/Security Protection Chief, and the administration's unit managers.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with an interest and competence to work as an Emergency Coordinator, responsible for emergency preparedness and security matters within the Social Services Administration. The position reports directly to the Head of Administration, whose main task is to support the Social Services Board and the Head of Administration in ensuring that operations have the prerequisites and resources to fulfill their mandate and comply with current regulations. This includes cross-administrative operational planning, processes, reporting, follow-up, patient safety work, and board administration.

As an Emergency Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and following up on systematic security work and crisis preparedness. The work is carried out in close collaboration with operations and other administrations within Degerfors Municipality. You conduct security work in accordance with relevant legislation and policy documents, working both operationally and strategically with support from the administration.

In this role, you act as an advisor and supporter in matters regarding incident handling and security protection, such as physical security and personal safety. You will be the administration's contact person for questions related to security work and crisis preparedness.

Specific tasks include:

• Coordinating systematic work within the areas of security, crisis preparedness, and fire safety.
• Providing support, training, and advice on security matters to operations.
• Monitoring the external environment and providing situation reports to the administration's management.
• Collaborating with various actors to prevent, resist, and manage operational and societal disruptions within the board's area of responsibility.
• Leading risk and vulnerability analyses as well as continuity planning.
• Analyzing the organization's need for training and exercises in crisis management, and being responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of relevant training and exercises.
• Conducting tests with personal alarms.
• Contributing to internal budgeting, interim and annual reports, and investigating issues raised by operations and the board.
• Presenting cases or investigations to the management group and Social Services Board, and leading groups in connection with cross-professional assignments.

You are a player in a team of different professions that support each other, where a shared responsibility is taken for the administration's various issues.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you with a post-secondary education in a relevant field or experience in the area that the employer finds suitable. As an Emergency Coordinator, you have a strong interest and experience in strategic work, preferably through managerial experience.

The work requires that you have the willingness and ability to collaborate and independently drive issues within your area of responsibility, analyze processes, and actively follow developments in the field. You should have good administrative skills and be comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills are essential, as is a valid driver's license (Category B).

• Experience from healthcare, elderly care, and social services.
