Teacher in Technology or Mathematics/Chemistry/Biology grades 7–9 at Europaskolan Rogge

For the 2026/2027 school year, Europaskolan Rogge is investing in technology, mathematics, and natural sciences. We are looking for teachers with high subject competence and place great emphasis on finding the right person for our operation, rather than limiting the role to a narrow job description.

About the position

We are currently looking for teachers within two possible specializations. The scope and content of the position are adapted based on your qualifications, competence, and experience.

Technology grades 7–9

You teach technology in an environment where problem-solving, construction, and practical work are central parts of the teaching. The teaching also includes laboratory and investigative moments with good access to purposeful equipment. Here, there are good opportunities to work cross-curricularly and develop teaching that connects technology, mathematics, and natural sciences in concrete contexts.

Mathematics, Chemistry, and/or Biology grades 7–9

You teach at the lower secondary level and preferably in several subjects within mathematics and natural sciences. The role includes the opportunity to work with students in the school's specialized program, where teaching is characterized by a high study pace, subject deepening, and didactic development. The teaching also includes laboratory work supported by modern equipment and adapted facilities.

Prerequisites for teaching

Here, there are prerequisites for conducting teaching with high quality:

• the school is well-equipped with practical materials and modern teaching resources, both digital and physical
• teaching takes place in both whole-class and smaller groups, which provides room for peace of mind, deepening, and individual feedback
• classrooms equipped with updated materials for practical and investigative work. The school has a newly renovated, top-equipped chemistry lab (2024) that offers excellent opportunities for laboratory teaching
• common working methods and clear structure create a stable and functioning teaching environment

Your role

As a teacher at Europaskolan Rogge, you are responsible for:

• planning, implementing, and following up on teaching with high quality and clear structure
• creating and maintaining a study environment and a safe learning and working environment
• working consistently and systematically to develop students' knowledge
• contributing to professional collaboration where collegial responsibility and development are a natural part

Qualifications

Requirements

We are looking for you who:

• have teacher education (teacher certification is highly meritorious)
• are secure, structured, and clear in your pedagogical leadership
• have good subject competence in technology and/or mathematics/natural sciences
• have didactic skill and the ability to challenge students at different levels
• have a good ability to build relationships and trust
• take responsibility for your role and contribute to the school's joint development

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you:

• teach several subjects within technology, mathematics, or natural sciences
• have experience working with high-performing students
• have experience with or interest in specialized education
• work with practical, investigative, or cross-curricular methods
• have experience with mentoring

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
