Jönköping Municipality is a major employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We are growing in tandem with the municipality's development, as we welcome more residents, housing, and services. We are always on the lookout for new skills – colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and call home.

Do you want to work with communication that reaches out, adds value, and builds trust? Do you want to create communication that engages, touches, and inspires action? Here, you will combine creative content work with important societal issues.

We are seeking a Marketing Communicator who wants to strengthen the municipality's cultural and leisure life through creative communication. The role also involves supporting other departments. You will become part of our central communications department while working closely with the operations. This is a permanent position.

Your mission will include, among other things, communicating the municipality's facilities and activities with relevant messages and creative formats. You will create and highlight stories about the operations – stories that attract and engage the municipality's children, youth, adults, and visitors.

We are looking for someone who is self-reliant yet listens to others, coaches, and provides advice and support. Someone accustomed to planning, executing, and following up on various communication initiatives. Someone who is idea-driven, goal-oriented, and navigates confidently in social and digital landscapes.

You ensure deadlines are met and goals are achieved. You are an engaged colleague who gladly shares knowledge and practical tips.

You will primarily work closely with the Culture and Leisure Administration, but also serve as a support for other operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Producing content adapted to the audience and channel (film, photography, storytelling, messaging, copy, etc.).
  • Managing digital tools and communication platforms.
  • Creating, executing, and following up on brand-building activities that support operational goals.
  • Measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the impact of implemented communication initiatives.
  • Digital advertising.
  • Graphic production and film production.

The position also includes daily communication and production support for the municipality's operations.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree in media and communication studies, or a post-secondary vocational education in marketing communication and content production, or training deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Several years of work experience in the communications field and marketing communication.
  • Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience working with film and photography.
  • Experience working in digital channels.
  • Experience working in publishing programs, e.g., Sitevision, Episerver, WordPress.

You have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and can formulate messages clearly and engagingly for different target groups. You adapt messages and channel selection based on purpose, target audience, and operational needs.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with digital advertising.
  • Experience measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the impact of communication initiatives via Google Analytics.
  • Experience working with AI tools for communication and AI in the communications landscape.

What we offer:

  • An enriching and varied job in one of Sweden's largest municipalities.
  • The opportunity to influence and develop the municipality's communication.
  • An engaged team where we support and learn from each other.

Your position is located within the Business-Related Communication Unit, one of three units in our centralized communications department. Together with your colleagues, your mission is to provide strategic and operational communication and production support to the municipality's operations.
