Your responsibilities

As an operational safety representative and property manager, you have overall responsibility for creating a safe, secure, and well-functioning environment for both children and staff. Your role is central to the unit's systematic work with fire safety and protection (SSA/SBA), where you, in close collaboration with the principal, plan, document, and follow up on inventories, risk analyses, and authority requirements. You act as the exercise leader during fire and sheltering drills and ensure that all employees have the right competence and information regarding safety routines and evacuation routes.

In addition to safety work, you serve as the unit's primary link to the property owner and external actors during inspections, security rounds, and construction projects. You have broad technical and practical responsibility, ranging from minor repairs and preventive property maintenance to assisting in the setup of pedagogical learning environments. Your role also includes handling fault reports, managing environmentally smart resource management, and handling contact and follow-up with cleaning suppliers.

Your workplace

Forskolor Åkerbo consists of nine preschools. Four of the preschools are located in Linghem, while the remaining five are located in Gistad, Örtomta, Askeby, Bankekind, and Vårdsberg. Forskolor Åkerbo is connected via the reception at Linghemsskolan, where our principals, two special education teachers, and administration are located. You will be based at Vårdsberg kyrkby 1.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a secondary education with a practical focus or experience relevant to the position. Since the role involves many safety issues, it is important that you have knowledge and experience working with safety issues and/or preparedness. You also need to have the ability and experience to work independently. Documentation is part of the role, meaning you need to be proficient with computers and have good speaking and writing skills in Swedish. Since you need to travel between several preschools, a B-driver's license is required. We would appreciate if you have prior experience as a caretaker, further education in the field, and experience/knowledge regarding fire safety, locks, and alarms.
