Engaged Occupational Health and Safety Engineer

At Toyota Material Handling Europe, we are now seeking an engaged and knowledgeable Occupational Health and Safety Engineer to join our Sustainability team. As an OHS Engineer with us, you will play a key role in ensuring that operations meet high workplace safety standards. Welcome to our journey of development!

Your team, department, and challenge:

Within the Sustainability EHS department at Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden, we work to develop our safety culture and promote good health. The department consists of 9 employees and works in close collaboration with production and other support functions. Your main task is to develop our sustainability work, primarily within the area of occupational health and safety, and you will handle mainly operational workplace safety issues.

As an OHS Engineer, you will work with:

  • Contributing to the development and improvement of our systematic occupational health and safety work, as well as conducting workplace safety training within the company.
  • Planning and conducting safety rounds.
  • Actively working towards achieving our vision of "Zero Accidents".
  • Setting workplace safety goals together with colleagues and implementing improvements to work methods.
  • Analysis, follow-up, and reporting of workplace safety status.

As an OHS Engineer with us, you will play a key role in ensuring that our projects and operations meet established workplace safety requirements and contribute to development within health and safety.

Your profile

For the position of OHS Engineer, we are looking for you who have/are:

  • Relevant education in occupational health and safety.
  • Professional experience in the field, preferably within manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 and workplace safety legislation.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience in ergonomics and machine safety is an advantage.

  • Have high integrity, are pedagogical, and enjoy having many contact points both internally and externally.
