We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for a man in his 50s who lives with a spinal cord injury and is based in Karlstad. As an assistant, you will become an important part of his daily life and contribute to creating conditions for participation and quality of life. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting him in living his life as independently and equally as possible.

The work includes everything from care, training, help with activities, etc. The workplace is in his home and wherever he is located. Working hours are scheduled during both day and evening times, Monday to Sunday. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness.

Since you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for and by your specific client, it is important to have good work ethics where everyone supports each other and can work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would like you, as the applicant, to have a flexible and independent working style and be able to adapt easily to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good documentation skills and a professional attitude. You have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

Other qualities that are good in the job are a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important. It is a great advantage if you have experience working in personal assistance.
