Job Description

Do you want to work in a social and responsible role where service and safety go hand in hand? We are now looking for a Security Guard in International Traffic in central Stockholm, focusing on security checks of persons and accompanying baggage.

As a stationary security guard, your primary task is to deliver a sense of security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company, checking those entering and exiting, but you may also perform patrols and CCTV monitoring. Tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility.

In this role, you will work closely with people in a dynamic environment, where you both welcome travelers and are responsible for maintaining a high level of security. Duties include, among other things, X-ray screening of baggage as well as checking passengers and cargo.

This role is suitable for you if you are studying or planning to study in the autumn, as we are looking for personnel who can work part-time and on an as-needed basis.

If you are not already a trained security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training prior to employment. Upon employment, you will also be offered an X-ray training course.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
• Good knowledge of English

Merits if you

• have worked with similar tasks previously
• have a civilian or military security guard training
• hold a Category B driver's license

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Security Companies Act (1974:191) (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for each position.

Salary and terms of employment are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
